For this project, we were tasked with using our HTML and CSS skills to create a website on April Greiman using the paragraphs given to us; however, we could choose our own fonts, layout, images, etc.
At first, I wasn't sure how to approach this project as I don’t have preexisting skills in making websites, so alongside gaining information during lectures, I decided to do my own research on websites such as W3 Schools and read a few articles on specific things I was struggling with in the process.
To start this project, I decided to go on Pinterest as well as look up websites with interesting designs to see what I could do in regard to layout and HTML.
Many of these were too complex for me to achieve during this project, but they gave me valuable inspiration for layout and ideas for future projects.
I also decided to look into the topic of the paragraph given to us, April Greiman.
April Greiman is a designer born in 1948 and a previous student of the Basel School of Art who has become one of the most well-known designers of her time.
She is known for being one of the first designers to embrace computer technology in her work and use it as a tool in her trans-media projects.
